The Owens Family is safe and sound in Beattyville, Kentucky! This past week we had the pleasure of joining our friends at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, TN for their annual Global Missions Conference. Cedar Springs is a faithful ministry partner who has supported us and prayed for us faithfully for many years. At the conference we had the opportunity to share about all God is doing here with KMM on several occasions including small break out groups where we presented our ministry, meals with church members, the college group Sunday school class, and even a pre-school class! Once I shared with the pre-schoolers that we have ice cream at the Rec Center that seemed to spark their interest and Erin and I were asked many questions about what type of ice cream the Rec Center!
Maeven and Judah enjoyed the conference too as they were able to participate in the nursery/pre-school program. Maeven was enthralled by all the toys they had to play with and new friends she was able to meet. Judah cried when he had to leave Mama, but snacks quickly cheered him up! We were also able to stay with a wonderful family, the Hudsons, who very generously shared their home with us this week. We though for sure that Maeven was going to try and take their little dachshund home with her! Over all it was an amazing conference that was a huge blessing and encouragement to us!
This week we are plugging in and getting back to the grind at the Rec Center. We have a full week of bowling leagues, after school outreaches, and a bowling tournament on Saturday on our schedule. This week the weather is looking great so we are hoping to have all our FCA Huddles at the middle and high schools. Also, if all goes well we will finally have our first after school Bible Study of the semester!
As you go about your week we would like to ask you to pray for the following prayer requests:
1. Pray that we will be able to have all our FCA Huddles this week and that students will attend!
2. Pray for opportunities to share Jesus at the Rec Center this week.
3. Pray for Erin as she is prepping for the next meeting of “The Well.”
4. Continue to pray for Erin as she is battling Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia.
5. Pray that we reflect Christ well to all we come in contact with this week!
Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support!
