Greetings from Beattyville and another Owens Family ministry update!   This past week was  hectic but great week for us.  Last week I had asked you to be praying for us as we prepared for Camp Mighty Warrior VBS at the Rec Center.   A missions team from Kilgore Bible Church in Texas brought a group of teens and adults who put on this outstanding outreach ministry.  For four hours a day this past Monday through Friday, the group led our local kids through a variety of songs, lessons about the armor of God, small groups, crafts, and various other activities.   Over 40 plus kids attended each day and all clearly heard the Gospel!  We are happy to report to you that we are praising God as at least one little boy who attended our VBS accepted Christ as his personal savior!!!  Please continue to pray for all our kids who came and heard about the love of Jesus that they would all make decisions to give their lives to Him.  And also a very special thanks to our VBS team from Kilgore Bible Church!

This past week was also the final week of summer camp at Youth Haven Bible Camp for 2013.  On Tuesday night we took Maeven to camp for her first firetruck ride.  She was so excited to ride up front in the truck with her “Grumpie” (my dad) in the firetruck.   This was also the last week of YHBC’s Cubs Camp day camp.  Maeven and Judah both made sure to attend a few days of camp and get some swimming and horse riding in with their camp friends.  They have definitely enjoyed becoming camp kids this summer.

This week we have a work group that is going to be working on building a storage room at the Rec Center and some other projects as well.  We are also praising God that the insurance money for our AC units at the Rec Center finally came in.  Keep praying with us that we can now get the new AC units installed in the very near future and start drawing more of our community back.  We also ask you to pray for our FCA students who will be heading back to school this week.  Pray that in the excitement and busyness of a new school year that they will stand strong and impact their fellow students and teachers for Christ!   As always thank you so much for your continued support and prayers!
