Last Thursday Erin and I celebrated our 4 year Anniversary on Valentine’s Day! It has been a whirlwind 4 years of kids, moving, and all kinds of other stuff, but God has truly blessed us and we can’t wait to see what He is going to do in the many years to come!
After being sick and unable to attend for the past few weeks, I was able to return to Lee County High School last week for our after school Bible study. I have been going through the Andy Stanley, “Max Q” student Bible study this year with the students. We have been talking for the past few weeks about setting standards in our lives. This past week we talked with the students about setting standards in the areas of alcohol and choosing friendships. I have been very encouraged by the faithfulness of the students who are attending and excited to see their growth over the course of the year.
The Rec Center is in the midst of our annual Biggest Loser contest. So far we have around 30 people who have signed up for the competition and about half of that number are faithfully sticking to the contest and really seeing progress. Please pray for us to be able to build relationships with them as they seek to get healthy physically so that we can eventually have opportunity to address their spiritual needs and how Christ can help meet those needs.
This week we are getting ready for the annual couples retreat at Youth Haven Bible Camp. Please pray for the couples that are coming and for our speaker and musicians. We are really excited to see what God is going to do!
